FKI supports: • Interplanetary and earth-orbiting missions • Military and commercial aircraft
Dr. Faz Keyvanfar, the founder of FKI SpaceStructures, has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and over 35 years of broad experience in aerospace structural engineering. His Ph.D. thesis is on the "Effects of Residual Stresses on Fatigue Crack Propagation". He served as a member of numerous Tiger Teams at JPL/NASA to find resolutions to design problems detected at critical design reviews. Such issues included the excessive bow in extreme temperature fields for Juno's Telecom Panel, the structural integrity of Phoenix Deployable Solar Arrays, the secondary mirror bonded glass for AMT orbiter and the Collimator slip in random vibrations test and the liquid pin concept validation for the OCO satellite.
